The Internet changed my life.....
Can anyone remember the days of Star Trek? Watching episodes with with Captain Kirk using gadgets and gismos that were so advanced that they seemed impossible to ever be invented in our lifetime, to have information about anything or anyone at his fingertips. Apart from the teleport those programs predicted the evolution of information and communication (may have to wait a few more years for the transport side of things). Thanks to the internet and the iphone we have all the information we will ever need, information that is always evolving with ever new discovery, information that can help us learn new things everyday.
With the digital camera revolution we are able to embrace this source of education. We can look for the latest camera models to be released, and compare the market to save ourselves money when we choose to buy them. We can read lens reviews, find out the difference between manufacturers, understand what each lens characteristics are before any shooting has been done. We can learn new techniques without having to leave the comfort of our homes.
Having this type of tool available to the masses reaps huge rewards. Our time is spent using our cameras with amazing results because all of the theory has already been achieved, and if the results are not what we expected we have the ability to understand why and how to rectify those mistakes. The internet has changed my life........ for the better because now I have more time to be out and about shooting, and that can never be a bad thing.
